What a WONDERFUL weekend for GA Sports

Being that this weekend is my weekend to work, it started off on the wrong foot anyway. The one thing that I did look forward to was the continued success of GA's College and Pro sports organizations. Well that was shot to hell as well.

First UGA (my favorite sports team, hands down) loses in a terribly played game to one of my most hated teams, UT.

UT 19
UGA 14

The previously unbeaten Atlanta Falcons run into a Detroit Lions team that was able to completely shutdown the Falcons offense, especially the suprisingly effective running game.

Lions : 17
Falcons : 10

The Atlanta Braves, while a suprise postseason team to begin with, are at the moment tied with the Astros in the top of the 9th inning. With the current theme of the weekend being "F all GA Sports Teams" I fully expect the Braves to be watching the rest of the playoffs from their respective couches.

But, at least Tech beat Maryland...yippee.

At least your not Minnesota. Gophers lose a heartbreaker to Michigan. Twins lose the playoffs. And now the Vikes have lost a 14 point lead and are in OT with the TEXANS. All in the last 24 hours.
