What a strange year...

It's been a very bizzare year. I saw what was literally an unidentified flying object. A buddy and I were fishing in the middle of large lake at a state park. It was clear and sunny, and there were no trees to obsure the view.

Sample of what it looked like that day

I saw a small round metallic object cruising SLOWLY fairly high in the sky. Sun was reflecting off the object. I stared at it for a while trying to make it out. It left no trails like an airplane. Eventually I disregarded it, and resumed down the lake...

A few hours later, we were heading back in the opposite direction, and I saw it again. I studied it a bit further, and determined it was moving too slowly to be a plane. It wasn't skydivers or a parachute. I don't believe it would have been a small aircraft, like those go-karts with a parachute. It definately wasn't a helicopter. I was stumped... So, I start saying to my buddy, "Hey, check this out... What is..." and I turned around to get his attention, and when I turned back around, IT WAS GONE! 😕

I'm not saying it an alien craft, but I have NO IDEA what it was! Maybe sunlight reflecting off of a satellite? Seemed too big for that, and it was moving too fast. But it was also too high to be a small craft... ???


Then a few weeks ago, it was my wife, cats, and I in the house, and I was getting ready for bed, brushing my teeth. I hear my wife mutter something just outside the door. I say "What?", and look around the corner, and there was nobody there. The cats were all asleep, TVs and radios were all off, everything else was turned off. I open the bedroom door and my wife was already asleep! Very odd. No other ghostly appearances before or since. However, I ABSOLUTELY heard a loud audible voice, VERY CLOSE to me.

Radio waves in my fillings? I dunno. However, no drugs or booze were involved! 🙂


Anyone have any ideas on what the UFO could have been?


Edit: Maybe I'm not nuts. Or at least I'm not alone! 😀

looks like sasquatch there holding that fish...all that fur on his arm gives him away...you had what is properly termed.... A Ripleys year.

now, go buy some marshmallows and chew on them til they are green

Heh... That's funny. The shadows make my arm look hairier than it actually is, but it IS hairy. 🙂


For the record. I've never seen a UFO or ghost before... 🙂

i have seen many a ghost, in my current house i saw the old owner just after he died we bought the house before he died and he moved couple of hundred miles away. the house we are in has something in it to this day, strange smell that comes for a few mins then goes.

seen my uncle after he died, saw a 300 year old ghost while walking through a cematary at night, yes i ran like the wind to get out of there.

when i was about 7 years old i thought i saw something land in some trees, after that there was a burnt circle about 20 foot wide in the same spot that i thought i saw something.

bah weird things will always happen to make life interesting

Now that I've said that, i have a few times in my life seen things or heard things which were not really there. Sometimes your mind just plays tricks on you since it tries to interpret random noise/images to have form. Often i will think I very clearly can hear a voice which actually is not there, and sometimes I can actually find the source (like rustling leaves, or an appliance), my mind just tries to form the randomness into speech. The same can also happen for visual clues (especially if its dark). There is one gas meter that i often walk by at school when i am up late studying that I often interpret as a person hidding in the trees. Other things (especially random movement of branches etc) can be misinterpreted to be someone commign at you etc. Im not sure what you could have seen in the sky, but it was probably some completely normal thing which was hard to see since it was so far away. I might suggest perhaps a in foil balloon which would reflect light, but im nto sure.
 
Yeah... Like I said, I'm not saying it was an alien craft... 🙂 I was just curious if anyone else had an idea on what it could be. My brother-in-law had a good theory. Blimp. I live in South Bend, Indiana. Home of Notre Dame, and the Goodyear blimp, and others, do make a lot of appearances here, but it doesn't explain how it disappeared in an instant, and I don't think blimps typically fly that high...

And, no more drugs? Does the punishment never end?

How high are we talking?.... like WAYYYYY up their where a jet would be?

Maybe a hobbiest built some strange remote control flying contraption?

There are personal aircraft that you can buy that look similar to something you would see on The Jetsons that cost several million $. (saw it on tv a while back) they are small enough to fit in an average garage. oh.. but I believe those would leave jet streams.

Meh, strange things happen all the time and are hard to explain. Some with empirical evidence can be explained by science and testing. Some can be just delusions, but some are possibly real events that cannot be explained by normal premises.

It does make life interesting.

Yep. Most people equate UFO with aliens, but it simply means the thing in the sky wasn't identified. You've seen a UFO. :beer:
 
I always watch shows on UFOs and ghost (have all my life) but I don't necessarily believe in them.

I saw something in the sky once which I could not explain but it didn't make a 90 degree turn on a dime or from a standstill to 5000mph. That would be interesting if it did and I don't know what I would believe then.

Usually people who bring up ghost pictures and UFO pictures look to be a little crazy anyway. I have never seen any real professional footage of ghost evidence nor have I of UFOs. It is always some grainy crap that could have easily been fabricated. Never anything clear.

No... this is the best bass I've ever caught... Please note that the fish is BEHIND the crappy trolling motor I got for free... 😉

I'm sad to say that this was the most fun fish I ever caught. Took about 45 minutes to land, and I pulled about a dozen hooks out of his mouth!

And don't make fun of what I dork I was as a kid... 😀

Yes, I think it MIGHT have been a weather balloon, but I still can't explain how it disappeared in about 1 1/2 seconds... Are weather balloons shiny?
