Got into an accident almost 2 weeks ago and check the local mail today and have over 10 ambulance chasers wanting me to retain them at no charge:Q

Tried to reach a settlement with the insurance company, but they refused to play ball :|

They offered the Nitemare $250 for neck and back injuries... :|:|

and you're complaining (whining)... why?

of course, if people like you 'really' took responsibility for themselves, you wouldn't be making insurance claims in the first place. and trial lawyers? Pftt. let's do away with the civil justice system altogether, everyone will be SO much better off..

Many states make it illegal to solicit clientele this way.

I must say, it sounds like you might benefit from a lawyer . . .

This is where the insurance companies shoot themselves in the foot. My wife was rear ended by some guy in a truck about 10 years back. She was sitting stopped in a line of stop and go traffic and he hit her hard enough that the guy in the lead car of the 3 cars involved had his glasses knocked off his face. Her seat was actually bent back by the accident. She never went to a doctor immediately after the accident (our mistake) and all we wanted really was the car fixed and a rental car while waiting. You would think when dealing with people that have not brought up the word lawyer or sue in any conversation would be treated politely but that was definitely not the case.

The insurance that I filed a claim against is making me pay for the rental car from here-on out and I don't even have the paperwork in hand to give them authorization to payoff my car...Probably looking at a week or more before I get the settlement check in hand.
