This was sent to all professors, staff and graduate students in my department. Someone must be feeling very stupid tonight.

Hi,
Someone who has the access the computer lab has printed out
pornographic pictures fron an XXX sites (35 pages). With the tools
we have now, we are able to retrace the person who used the lab for
that purpose. In the future if a such incident happens we will procede
and find out who that person is. The mandate of the Lab is promoting
education in Earth Sciences. Thus, we urge you not to use the lab
facilities for other purposes.

This is a colour laser printer and jobs sometimes get postponed for hours (is that called 'batched' or something like that?) before they suddenly get done. What probably happened is that Larbi came early in the morning and found the pages in the printer tray. The Masterprinter was long gone by then.

Not only was it in poor taste, but those color laser printer toners are HELLA expensive!

Oh...and Mods, I seriously didn't know that was a "naughty" site. I knew the name was a porn star, but I never checked to see if the site was valid. Honest mistake.

Don't people realize that thes types of situations are why one needs to buy his own computer and printer? Geez. Kiding, pretty darn stupid, if I were the one in charge of the lab, I'd track the guy down and blackmail him, or send an E-mail message to him saying (falsely) that I told everyone who he was. It'd be fun to see how he would act if he thought everyone knew.
