Took my truck in this morning to get my christmas gift put on (flowmaster muffler, nothing too loud, just lots of bass to bring out the big engine).

Went to go pick her up and MAN did I get hooked up.

Since it's close to my birthday the shop owner split it into dual exhuast with the brand new muffer, all new piping and two straight tapered 3.5" chrome tips, for no extra charge 🙂

not what i was going for so no.

my next purchase will be a nice set of headers though, which will make it faster and increase intake.

i just wanted a deep "throatier" sound on it.

Replacing a standard muffler with a Flowmaster will not make your vehicle go faster unless the existing muffler was clogged. It will make the vehicle sound better (most likely), and the dual exhaust outlets will make it look better, which makes the OP happy.
