what a good space sim?

Is it just me, or have they not come out with very many space sims recently?
I'm looking for something like freespace 2, which was all-around a fun game, and good graphics for the time. Is there anything out that you guys know about?

As long as graphics don't matter to you, you can't go past Star Control 2.

Freelancer is a good one. Extremely addictive and you can pretty much do what you want when not on a mission. My bro is playing it now (has been for a few days straight).

I like StarLancer -- but it's fairly old
