WHAT A F***ING TOOL

Ok, since I live in kentucky, and the broadcast of the grammys was delayed until after the college basketball game, I am just now watching them. And we just got to the point where the big wig record producer came out and cried about file sharing. They had 3 college students spend 2 days downloading songs. Between the three of them they only got 6000 songs! That is pathetic, assuming they had anything better then my crappy schools connection, capped at 100/24, they should have had much more. My roomates and I were laughing our asses off at his rant. He threatened small artists, aka those without a record companies protection, saying that they were in danger of being edged out. Maybe if artist were given more than .0000005% of the industry profits that wouldnt be a problem. Maybe after the first few years of this they would have figured out not to mark the cds up 4000% Maybe all the record execs could move to Afghanistan

Maybe if the artists didn't sign those kind of contracts then they could get more. No one forced them to settle for that.

I think the fact that that is pretty much the only option out there, and there is always someone hungry out there who will take the POS contract because, well, that is the only thing out there and they have starved working for years.

When it comes down to it, and you have the option of taking the crappy contract and living off of your music, or going back to Burger King, which would you choose?
