Just got the nerve up to do a little cutting on the side panel of my brand new Antec SX1040. Cut a hole for a 92mm Sunon fan and mounted it. Man was I Surprised at the difference. I have an AXIA tbird currently running at 1450 1.75 volts with a rc5 load temp of 46c case temp of 22c with a Swiftech mc-370 with a delta 38 fan on it. Before I installed the side panel fan my rc5 load temp stayed around 51c-54c that was with the 2 exhaust fans that come with the case ans 2 intake fans that i installed. I figure that this simple mod netted me a 5c drop on average on my cpu temp. Looks like it is time to go back to 1500 Whoo Hoo!
