I've had nothing but decent times with my roommates, my roommate freshman year, 1 i liked enough to live with again, and we got along fine. The other wasn't so great. This year my roommates are all pretty decent. Of course we fight, it'd be wierd if we didn't - but we're civilized about it. If all your roommates are assholes.. perhaps it wasn't them ;)

I never fought with any of my roommates and many of them are still some of my best friends. If you couldn't get along with any of your roommates...you are either a girl, have serious social issues, or have had a horrible string of luck. I was kidding about the girl part and I doubt you happened to have a bad string of luck.

Dunno if somebody said this above, but you can call your bank and bounce the check or something. Or you could just go over and take his LCD monitor.

My roommate from freshman year is horrible, we had bad history together but he's awesome anyways. Now, I'm second year and I'm rooming with third year student. He's awful than my roommate from last year. He wore my sweaters to parties without asking for permissions. :|

my roomates all have been great too... and ive had alot in the Navy and civilian life...

Because the check was a deposit... to cover any damages that may occur. It is returned when you leave if the place is in shape... it's to ensure you don't trash the place and not stick the owner with the bills. The reason to get it back is because he didn't do any damage... wouldn't YOU want $100 back that technically belongs to you?




Go put rocks through the windows of the place so he has to spend the $100 and then some to repair them.
