The best part is that each one of these cameras are unique: not same-old regular updates. I haven't decided which one to pick but I'm glad to have so many choices this year.

Honestly, I think they've been holding back because new releases in the depths of a recession are bound to have disappointing sales.

Now that there seems to be light and consumer confidence is improving in most places, the releases can come rolling. Almost every manufacturer had a slower-than-average rate for new models during the last 2 years.

Now they're just doing part of the catching up.
