What a crappy week :(

Had to go to a visitation Tuesday night, had the funeral yesterday. I was a "pall barer" (spelling?).

After the funeral I found out I did NOT get the internship. The woman doing the hiring said I had the most impressive resume AND interview, but she thought the internship would be more important to a college student who hasn't had any work experience yet. She said I already have a solid work history, so she gave the position to someone who better fit the profile she was looking for (someone who had no work experience, but active club/organization experience). Great! I don't get the super flexible, $13/hr internship (versus my $10.25/hr job) yet I was the most qualified individual... just not the person she wanted to "help out."

While I was finding out that I didn't get the internship, I left my sunroof open in my car yesterday, perfectly bright and sunny. Then a freak rainshower came for about 10 minutes and got some water in my car. Cell phone doesn't turn on now. Let it dry out, tried my fiancees battery and my phone works, but MY battery is apparently a goner from water damage.

Work told me I need to work 'til 3:00 pm today... and 6:30am - 3pm tomorrow and all of next week (instead of my regular 7:00am - 2:00pm).

Woke up late this morning so I didn't get to take a shower AND still got to work 10 minutes late. And my allergies are bugging me.

And I need to drive about 45 miles north of here right after work today to sign the title over to the old lady who bought my car in the first week of April. Did I mention I haven't taken a shower and I feel like crap?

Kentucky Real Estate Association called me and said I need to pay them $150 to keep my license in escrow. And they need the check day after tomorrow.

I guess when it rains, it pours, right?

To look on the bright side: I got a 95 on my make up final for bus. MGT 205 class... and I aced my media relations final, so I'm done until fall.

*cliff notes*

1. Attended sad funeral / visitation, was a pall barer.
2. Internship = denied
3. Cell phone = battery gone from water damage?
4. Annoying-ass hours assigned at work.
5. Late to work this morning, no shower. Allergies bugging me, feel like crap.
6. Have to drive 45 mins north of here to meet this old lady (for the 2nd time) to sign my title over in Ohio.
7. Kentucky Real Estate needs a check for $150 to keep my license in escrow. Wonderful.

Good things:

1. Good grades on finals / no more school until fall.
2. I get paid tomorrow so hopefully I can afford to pay for brake grease to stop my front brake squeal.
3. I'm alive and other people have a lot more to whine about, so I need to suck it up and look forward to the weekend.

Sh!t happens. I havent been able to get my voice above a whisper for a whole week now, and if my cell stopped working, i think id have to go to church and thank the lord.

And to top that off, neither of the two links in your sig work because they have incorrect syntax.

yeah I think everyone has weeks like that, probably not this week, but there's always a week when that whole murphy's law thing comes along... I had that on the week of my birthday. Everything was due for school, I was running late on getting stuff done as it is, and I found out at school that my cousin died in a car accident, I failed a quiz in history and had 3 more tests/quizzes the next day. Sh!t does happen, guess you just have to pick yourself up and deal with it.. things will eventually get better

Yikes ... seems like my week is similar. Just had an internship interview this past Tuesday and my week just getting worse.

Just hold up till the end of the week and there should be brighter weeks.

I'll take you out for  if you want. 😉

A group of friends from school is meeting up at Jillian's in covington next Tuesday for bowling. If we go, wanna come?

bah! If I had your problems I would be a happy boy! Wanna switch shoes for a day? Well, I still hope things get better for you.

Thanks fellers 🙂 I'm just a little upset because this is the first time ever that I have applied for a job and not got it. I know I'm young, but I've worked 6 jobs since I was 16 and have never been rejected. Ah well, I kept the rejection letter to look at every time I don't feel like studying for a final or something.

Ness, I've got to see what I have planned on Tuesday, but if I'm free I'll go with ya. I suck at bowling though, last time I went was @ Super Bowl here in Erlanger about 3 months ago.

that's what the word overqualified is reserved for. They are right... those internships are for inexperienced folks who need it (moreso than the money in most cases).

Look on the bright side.. no arguments with the woman this week. 😀
