I do think USC will also fall by either ASU, Notre Dame, or Cal. They have alot tougher schedule than they have in the past. Lets see how they do when they have teams that are actually ranked on there schedule!

Ainge is still the better quarterback, but everyone here at work agrees that he lost his confidence when his collarbone was broken last year. Clausen is doing a fine job and secured the starting job for himself last night. Now I just wish our receivers could catch the ball when it hits them on the numbers.

It's funny how Georgia never complained about having to play in Jacksonville when
they were beating Florida constantly in the 70's and 80's.

LSU looked like a team playing their second game of the season... the distractions have
hurt them. On the other hand, UT is a great team, you gotta stay on top of them for 60 minutes.

(It was great to be at the FL vs UGA game when we played them in Anthens!)

If Clausen had played every snap this year, UT would probably be 3-0 instead of 2-1. Ainge just cannot perform under pressure. Any time he rolls out, he seems to be way off target. Clausen is team captain and had the better off season and they still kept going with Ainge. I hope they don't go back to Ainge unless they have a big lead or Clausen gets injured.

Ainge was a great quarterback last year - until he broke his collarbone. He needs to get his head back together and reacquire some confidence. In the meanwhile I'm perfectly happy with Clausen's level headedness.

Wow! I turned the game off in the 4th thinking it was over!

Had LSU not given away 3 points at the end of the first half by not kicking the field goal, they probably would have won the game.

Clausen did a fantastic job of executing and they ate up a lot of clock while wearing out LSU's defense. It was pretty much the prototypical offense I think of when I think of Tennessee. They just executed it much MUCH better with Clausen at the helm.

You say this like it's a bad thing.

We still have receivers that can burn you for a quick 80 yarder at any time. They just have to hold onto the ball.

I'm very happy the team held together and fought for that W. I don't care if Clausen has a noodle arm - the entire team looks more poised and determined with him under center. Like Ned, I'm glad this settles things for the season. Ainge can have a crack at it again next year.

BTW - What's the deal with Crompton? Will he challenge Ainge for the job next year?

Yah and if Ainge hadn't given LSU 5 points (fairy TD int vs. taking a safety) then we wouldn't have gone to OT either. Ifs and buts are... nevermind ;)

NN I have to disagree. Clausen is actually the better quarterback because he has the ability to perform. Ainge may have the greater potential but right now Clausen is definately the best option we have.

Now if the Blue Raiders can take down the Commodores this weekend my week will be complete. :)
