What 8800GT is this?

I saw this Xfx 8800GT http://www.tigerdirect.com/app...&body=MAIN#detailspecs

It looks smaller then a regular 8800GT, yet it has all the same specs as the regular 512 meg version. Is this GT the same as a normal one, and is it any good?

its xfx's alpha dog edition.

it's a normal 8800GT. it's been talked about here before because of the tiny heatsink they put on it.

What about the PCB it looks smaller and the card looks like it has less parts on it

Well, this one seems to have a much smaller fan, than the usual ones. I have a EVGA 8800 GT which is definitely longer than this one.

I don't mind the smaller fan and shorter pcb I was just wondering if its a normal 8800gt or like stripped one or something

It is not stripped down.

My cousin has an XFX one also and it just uses a non reference HSF/PCB design
