Alright, I've got $30 in Amazon store credit that can only be used towards gaming stuff and expires on December 31st. What should I get?
I was originally intending to pick up Tekken 6 but everything I've read about it says it's pretty bad. Bad graphics, terrible main story, bad lag for multiplayer, enough to keep me away.
Traditionally I don't pay $60 for a short single player only game unless it's got replay value out the wazoo (and there aren't many that do), otherwise I'd get Batman: Arkham Asylum or Assassin's Creed 2.
So it looks like (unfortunately) it'll probably end up being another FPS unless there's other cool games coming out that I don't know of yet.
I really liked the first Bioshock but once again not much replay value and I think that for Bioshock 2 the multiplayer component is 99% afterthought/filler.
I played the first Left 4 Dead on my brother in law's PC for all of 5 minutes. It was over Thanksgiving last year and I couldn't get into it (probably because I knew nothing about it and I'm not much of a scary movie guy) but it seems to be a really popular game. Will getting L4D2 now leave me way behind in the story or anything? How is the gameplay? Is it..."scary" or more of the comedic horror? How does it play on the 360?
I've also never played Battlefield: Bad Company, but I know that Bad Company 2 is coming out early next year. How similar is it to Modern Warfare 2 (which will consume a large portion of my time as it is)? Difficult to transition between the two?
I liked the first Mass Effect but not enough to spend $60 on the second, that's another rental.
Any other games coming out that I don't know about? Any thoughts/suggestions from ye gamers?
If all else fails I could just get some Xbox live point cards.
