What 2200+ do I have?

Shy of lifting off the heatsink, is there any way to tell whether I have an "A" or "B" core Tbred?

My new computer runs pretty cool under load (~43C), and I was curious if it was my case/heatsink combination or the newer core to blame.

2400+ Thoroughbred-Bs should be available in a week or so, shortly followed by the 2600+. 2800+ Thoroughbred-B in Jan 2003. All palominos 1500+ to 2100+ and Thoroughbred-A 2200+ will eventually move to Thoroughbred-B core but that will happen in 2003.

Where did you get that information?

I was under the impression that manufacture of all 2200+ and above had already moved to B core, and that all chips below 1800+ were being dropped in the move to Tbred.

My post reflects what you would most likely find at a store. Even if they already moved to Tbred for 1800+ and lower that still doesn't mean you can go out and get a 1800+ tbred.
