Right now have 840 evo ssd 500GB and it's both to little and to slow. Running a 8700k. I am a bit sensitive to speed but dont move huge huge files at all :) I need something robust durable safe and fairly fast.
960evo 970evo or some adata 8200 pro stuff?
Is the adata as safe as the Samsung stuff?
Can I feel the difference from 960 to 970?
99% office 1% gaming.

Probably not. In fact, unless your "office" work involved mind-bogglingly-huge spreadsheets, I question that you would be able to notice the difference between NVMe and SATA. (I basically don't, between a TLC SATA6G SSD, and 2x1TB QLC NVMe in RAID-0, for browsing.)

I agree with Larry.

You'd pretty much have a hard time telling the difference between any fast SATA (like the Crucial MX500) or entry level NVMe SSD (like the MyDigitalSSD BPX).

With them being just about the same price ($2 difference), there would be really no reason not to go with a drive like the BPX PRO.

I will prefer TLC. I can not get My digital but corsair mp510 1tb. Or samsung 960. Same price.
As I can understand I cant tell a speed difference between these two I will think it's a matter of safety and durability and will look towards samsung as I have had my share of ssd failures in life to say the least. But hey it's probably bs brand loyality. So you guys decide for me. What to order? :)

I cannot speak of reliability as an use case of one, but as far as performance goes I'm currently using both Samsung 970 EVO and ADATA S11 Pro (equivalent to SX8200 Pro) - one at work and one at home - and they're both great drives. Can't tell the difference between them while doing actual work.

I'm actually looking forward to the ADATA S50 PCIe 4.0 drive that was recently announced, it boasts really high random IOPS numbers and I'm curious whether some of that translates into improved low queue throughput / latency.

The Corsair MP510 is the same as the BPX PRO (same controller and NAND), so that would be a great choice as well. The 960 EVO is also a great drive for your needs, but a little lower specs now that it is several generations older. That said, you will not notice a real-world difference between the two for your stated office use.
