I was walking to school today and I saw this guy wearing a baby blue polo with the collar up, khaki pants, and sandals.
I don't quite get the collar up, and I think it looks ridiculous to wear sandals with pants.

yeah its getting totally out of hand now. It was old about 3 years ago. Now its just retarded. I go out and two guys will be going into the club together and they BOTH have the collar up!!! How can you BOTH be popping your collar???? THer is like a 1 popped collar per clique if at all rule!!!!!! and its not like they are popping shirts that are really sharp looking....they are cheesy and gay abercrombie or american eagle crap. Like there are sometimes when you look so friggin money your collar should be popped but I would esstimate this occurence is like once a year or two MAYBE!!!!! But these douche bags walk around like they are the king of cool with there fairy looking cookie cutter polo on with the flipping collar up...... They should reallly all die. Sometimes when I am in a drunk asshole mode I''ll actually go up to them and be liek "hey let me get that for you" and fix there collar. They usually just stare like "did he just do that? "

anyways...... popped collars are like the ultimate i'm loser and a poser and I have no clue about social dynamics because if i did I'd realize that everyone thinks im a tool for having my collar up right now, they are all looking at me and mocking me to their friend at my expense but I still think I am the man. i remember people flipping up their collars then..usually to mock other people who did.

I noticed the preppy look is coming back. At the mall yesterday I saw a lot of pastel polo shirts, colors up, no socks w/loafers, etc. Gonna get out my Don Johnson suit :D

im in boston at school and my school happens to be hear BU and its pretty funny to just stand outside and watch them all walk down teh sidewalk, the best is the looks they get from older people,

most times i just wanna kick them in teh face

Somebody needs to inform the rest of the US that this stupid trend was over like last year. Although it does make it even easier to spot goofy tourists.

i was just out in gloucester, we were at a decent restaurant when this scad of 20 somethings came in(yeah im a 20 something too) all the guys had their collars up.
so apparently, in the greater boston area...this trend is still fairly strong.

Is this a regional thing? Because I've yet to see anyone around town with a popped collar and I live in a big frat boy town. Maybe I don't go to enough bars :confused:

yea its annoying, however its funny, because they usiallt travel in packs, and it reminds me of GTA1 where you had to run over the line of monks in the orange outfits to get some uber points, when i seem them i really want to do that
