Who knows if he is telling the truth but "my friend" told me sounds like a cop out. Obviously if an official did tell him he wouldn't give out a name understandably...tough call.

I believe Marc Cuban, Mavs owner, was fined $250k for a comment he made about officiating a couple of years ago. I don't think $100k for a similar comment is outrageous, given Stern's precedent for fines given for complaining about officials.
