I've seen people eat chicken feet. They look ridiculously chewy, so I wouldn't even try it. I broke my jaw a while back so anything super-chewy is painful to eat.
My kids almost passed out and turned white last year when they saw me pull out the pig nose and feet. They laugh about it now and I chase them around the kitchen with it
What no feathers? It's easier just to clobber them over the head and throw them in a pot of water with some carrots. You kids and your fancy schmancy meals these days I swear. Food has to look like art? Since when? Stop looking at it and just eat it already!
When I was a youngin mom told us EAT IT OR WEAR IT! Those were the days...Now kindly remove yourselves from my chlorophyll powered oxygen generators before I get my shotgun...
asian here - grew up on it, didn't think anything of it until I saw people on forums making a big deal out of eating chicken feet at dim sum. I don't eat it because it's just too boney. And I don't drink the soups anymore - if you go by what the parents tell you - they have magic healing powers. Bah.
I grew up eating every part of the chicken. Nobody thought it was weird. I certainly didn't think it was unusual. I love chicken feet, entrails, and the neck.
