Has anyone had the Chinese version? :hmm:

Is it better than mom's chicken soup? :awe:

so, in Jewish chicken soup they use chicken butts.

I wouldn't use the head though, but there's a lot of collagen in the feet.

I've seen people eat chicken feet. They look ridiculously chewy, so I wouldn't even try it. I broke my jaw a while back so anything super-chewy is painful to eat.

dont come over to my house when I make Feijuada

My kids almost passed out and turned white last year when they saw me pull out the pig nose and feet. They laugh about it now and I chase them around the kitchen with it

Never had any heads, but had my share of chicken feet - they're not bad, kind of a gelatin texture and a bit gamey taste.

Pork feet are decent as well.

What no feathers? It's easier just to clobber them over the head and throw them in a pot of water with some carrots. You kids and your fancy schmancy meals these days I swear. Food has to look like art? Since when? Stop looking at it and just eat it already!

When I was a youngin mom told us EAT IT OR WEAR IT! Those were the days...Now kindly remove yourselves from my chlorophyll powered oxygen generators before I get my shotgun...

How is that worse than balute or anything, I just won't touch it personally.

asian here - grew up on it, didn't think anything of it until I saw people on forums making a big deal out of eating chicken feet at dim sum. :D I don't eat it because it's just too boney. And I don't drink the soups anymore - if you go by what the parents tell you - they have magic healing powers. Bah.

I grew up eating every part of the chicken. Nobody thought it was weird. I certainly didn't think it was unusual. I love chicken feet, entrails, and the neck.
