What's the coolest thing you ever did in a cave?
I love caving, but it seems that most people are afraid to go. I mean, I've been in some caves where there was a chance of danger, but just like anything else, if you are careful it seems no worse than hiking.
Here's my favorite caving story: A buddy of mine and I found a hole that led to about a 25 foot drop into a lower level of a cave. Naturally, we had this huge jones because we were in a really deep obscure section that we figured nobody else had ever been to. We came back a week later with rapelling gear and made our way down. Ack! Someone had spray-painted their names on the wall, so our "discovery" of the lower level was all a sham. To add insult to injury, we found a gently sloping path back to the upper level. Talk about a couple of guys and their crushed egos...
