What?s it like? I have a chance to go to a 3 day conference the end of February. I?m brining my wife as well so we might stay for the remainder of the week. I have a bum knee so hiking and skiing expeditions are out.

late bump...

Westminster is a "very" suburban community between Denver and Boulder. It has grown like mad the last few years. It's a very nice area - I wouldn't hesitate to live there if my job was there. The normal suburban stuff - clean town, two fancy malls, etc... However it will be pretty darn cold in Febuary. Visiting Pearl Street in Boulder is always a good time, and there's always stuff going on in downtown Denver.

It's not that cold in February.

Things to do in Denver:
1) Goto the theatre, and late dinner.
2) See the Denver Natural Science Museum.
3) there are places in the mountains that rent snowmobiles and have tours.
4) Catch an Avs or a Nuggets game.

I live in Westminster for 4 years. Great town, very clean, alot of new homes and new stores. One of the top cities in the metro.

Close to Flatirons Mall if malls are your thing. I guess like others said, Boulder is fairly close. Rocky Mountain National Park/Estes Park is not too far from there so you can check that out. Are you limited to just Westminster? There isn't that much out there...just a bit of suburbia and a whole lot of open space. 🙂

Check out the Butterfly Pavillion and the shopping center across the road. Also, the Westin Hotel in that area is a really nice place to stay. You are a short distance from the new Broomfield Event Center if you are into minor league basketball or hockey. Plus, you can always go to downtown Denver or a tourist spot like Estes Park.

I'm staying at the Westin Westminster who is hosting the conference. Looks like I lucked out.
Thanks everyone for all your feedback.
