Westinghouse LCD PC Monitors

Anyone have any experience with Westinghouse LCD Monitors?

I guess they've had some success with their LCD TVs and figured they'd just remove the tuners🙂

Anyhoo I had a "special Discount" at Best Buy and it looked like a real good value based on price/features.

BTW it seems Best Buy is currently the exclusive retailer for Westinghouse LCDs, I can't find them anywhere else...

So I picked up the LCM-19v5. Its really nice so far. Very slim, light, well built. I thought $350 for a 10ms 19" 8 bit panel with DVI was a good deal. Well I jumped on the FujiPlus Newgeg deal. Its probably not as good a monitor, but its almost half the price!

So this is going back. But its really nice. Good color, tone, contrast, its brighter than average and looked great right out of the box with no set up or calibration. Not perfect of course, but no monitor is without some set up, and true Pro calibration either takes software like Spyder or professional training... anyhoo just wondering what others in the AT comunity think about Westinghouse Monitors... If anyone has had any...

I was just at Best Buy yesterday and noticed alot of "Westinghouse" LCD's as well. I've been reading reviews on LCD's for a while looking to buy a 19" and never saw these mentioned. Not even as "stay away from" LCD's or anything. Almost like they are not on the map. Since most panels seem to come from 3 main sources (Samsung, LG.Philips or AU) I was wondering if anyone knows which panels were in this brand of monitor.

One of the reasons I ultimately returned it and went and saved $150 on the newegg FujiPlus, which though not quite as nice, is well, $150 cheaper. I couldn't find any information whatsoever. Only on Westinghouse TVs, their LCD TVs are pretty well regarded FWIW.

no idea about the panels, other than they seemed to be 8bit. and of course 10ms response time.

There seem to be very few reviews of LCDs in hardware sites, but a 1000 different ones for each nvidia/ati card.

Odd.
