Here's what I ended up doing...

22" Acer widescreen LCD for my desk.

42" Westinghouse 1080P LCD to replace TV. Gonna have to beef up my HTPC's graphics because I know I'm gonna end up playing games out there. ;) Maybe get a TV tuner for it too because the Westy doesn't have one (gonna use VCR initially). I stood in front of the 37" and yeah, my head has to swivel to see from one side to the other so didn't think I'd like that as my sole monitor from a 2' viewing distance.

Awesome :D

My GF hated that 22" Acer that I was prepared to buy for her. We went to microcenter, and all she could see is how the text was so large.

I guess it didn't help that she sat down at a 24" monitor while I was trying to figure out where the Acer was :p

Oh, and I posted a hot deal for a decent tuner @ $55 shipped, maybe that'll help you out.

Man, I wish I had the money to go out and buy my girlfriend a $300 monitor, let alone myself one :p

But I should be grabbing one soon...if not the Acer, then the 20" Sceptre for $230.

Just had to cancel the order, they went out of stock, good news is I found it even cheaper at page computers, about 70 dollars cheaper!

I'm pretty happy with my 32" westy (although i wished it was 1080p). But I really didn't care, because it is f'in sweet on gamin' :D

I got much better performance on 1360x768 than in 1600x1200 duh :D
