Good deal. If accepted, the coupon would defray the sales tax. Here it is at NewEgg

Is it usual for displays to not come with DVI cables?

I own it. Good unit.
BB had all sizes of the Westy LCDs on sale at some point in the spring(?). I think I paid less then, but I could be wrong.

Prolly won't accept it. I tried using a similar coupon, and a pc monitor is different than a lcd tv, somehow.

hm.. pretty nice even without the coupon

What is the difference between the lcm 22w3 and lcm 22w2?
I jumped on a black friday deal on the the lcm 22w2 and am considering going dual displays.

22w2 has more ports (composite, s-video, YPbPr, d-sub, dvi)
22w3 only has d-sub and dvi. i guess that makes it cheaper to make.

you can always get some cheap dvi cables from monoprice.com
are you sure you got the w2? on black friday target had w3s on sale.

I got the 22w3's from Target's black Friday. It's a 16.2million color (7bit?) panel but it's got a fairly decent display compared to the Acer 19" I had. The 1 year warranty could be an issue though. Still it's a decent price for a 22" and overall not a bad monitor.

Coupon has expired, was good until 12/31/2007.

Any other good BB coupons out there?

i think i'm going to get this instead of the 24" Soyo. i went to BB & OM (since they're next door to eachother) and compared the two. they have similar features / options but the iq is better on the westy, imho. the stand has been criticized on both models but seems sturdier on the westy. although it doesn't come with a dvi cable, i've read that the one that comes with the Soyo is kinda cheesy and a lot of peeps are replacing it with a higher quality cable. BB offers a four year warranty program for $39.00 ( exchange it for whatever reason). i don't know how well they honor it.
i sit pretty close to my monitor and was used to my 24" Sony GDM-FW900 crt that was 22" diagonal and it was perfect.
plus, it's $90.00 less right now ;)

i really like this monitor :) . i went to BB night before last and they had a half dozen. went back last night to buy one and they had two left. yeah, i had to spend another $21.00 for a gold hd dvi cable and i got the extended four year warranty for an additional $39.99 so the whole deal came to $287.00 including tax.
i'm writing this on my main rig (XP 2400. 1.5 gigs. ram, and an old radeon 9700 pro thru the vga connection and text is clear. i use an iogear cheapy kvm switch and run my gaming rig thru the dvi port. only thing now is i have to switch off one machine before i fire up the other. no biggie. hl2, ep1, ep2 never looked so good even comparing this with my old 24" Sony GDM-FW900 that i ran @ 1920 x 1200 @ 85hz.

i'm glad i went with this over the 24" Soyo for $90.00 more.
btw, dvd's look awesome!

I have the 24" soyo. I was shopping for a 19 or 22 inch for my sister and spent a lot of time looking at the westy. The image quality of the Soyo PVA panel walks all over this 22" westy, its not even close.

i also prefer the soyo over the westy having looked at both. However, not everyone can afford the footprint of a 24" LCD. 1680 x 1050 native also would have been much preferred for gaming. lol... this 1920x1080 really pushes my 8800GT.

yeah, that also figured into my decision. i like to game @ 60+fps maxed out and didn't think my present rig could do it with the Soyo. this monitor will suffice until i get a pair of 88's or maybe i'll just wait until the 98's come out. :)

So how are the quality of these LCDs? Any bad pixels? I've got one sitting still unopened from the last week of Dec. that I bought it at BestBuy.
