Westinghouse 22" LCD. component input issue?

it's not the ghosting issue, but the screen is very blurry in 460p, 720p..

I am testing this with xbox component output into the monitor.

I am not sure if this is the monitor issue or the xbox issue.. but is anyone else having this problem?

will test with ps2 component tomorrow.

Is the monitor scaling the 480p and 720p or displaying it 1:1 pixel ratio? Response will make a big difference in determining a solution.

for the component inputs I have a choice and in both modes the issue is the same. unfortunatly I am seeing others have same issue on their unit.

oh well -_-; at least its working perfect as a monitor... sigh... I guess I was expecting too much.

really the question is are you using 1:1 scaling. does the westy even have that ?

Running on VGA and Svideo, it seems to stretch the entire image to take up the entire screen no matter what...so yea. Theres a couple of zoom features but they dont seem to help much.

do ANY of the TN's do 1:1?

My three Samsungs do, with DVI cable of course.

hmm. 225BW's? how do you do it? just a display menu setting? There are lots of people asking about this now...and i don't have an answer.

Video driver does it for you.

Interesting. Thanks for the pic. Anyone know if there is an ATI driver option for this as well?

no ati does NOT have this option.

The problem I am having with this is that I connected my PS3 to this, hooked it up with component. Then tried out 720p, looks great but the sides were getting cut off. So I switched to 1080i, looks great as well the sides are intact, I think is it 1680x1050 native. But when I tried playing a game, the resolution would drop to 480p, so I am keeping it at 720p for now. Gonna try it over DVI in a few days when the cable arrives.

hmm i just borrowed a ps2 from a friend.. will test GT4 with it.. will let u guys know shortly. (crossing fingers..)

cooool 😀

im not having the same issue i get from xbox component out.

althought not that pretty GT4 at 480p and 1080i is working without those issues. but it does look very dithered.

back to test some more 🙂
