anybody received money through western union before? A buyer (outside of US) will send me money through western union. He said he would give me a secret code then I can use the code to get payment in any western union stations. I know Safeway near me has western union station, but is it safe? I will get cash right? Any potential problem with Western Union money transfer? I know for paypal there can be chargeback. but for western union, will chargeback happen? Is it 100% safe to receive the money? If buyer uses stolen credit card, will western union recall the money from me later? I just feel not sure about payment from outside of US.

Thanks!

i think with western union they wont let you transfer money with a credit card.. i always had to use an ATM card online, or pay cash at the WU location...

its pretty safe in terms of recieving money .. the "secret code" is the control number, just have that with ID and you get the money

i dont think theres a way for WU to take the money back from you after you recieve it..
i have only sent money before, never recieved

they charge a beotch to send!

BruNgoLD is right ... i once received money from a guy in germany, it is safe and there's no charge back. It's perhaps the best way to get money internationally, although pity the sender because of the highly expensive fee.
