Western Semis. Clippers vs. Suns & Spurs vs. Mavs

I think for this series, the Clips will win in 5 or 6. Clips has size, and I'll definitely not be suprised if they pull off an upset for a shot at the Finals.

That'd be an awesome story. From virtually being a crappy team historically, to being winners.

They say Kurt Thomas will be back for this series, but I don't think he'll have much of an impact.

Based off of the games I saw, I think Mavs will pull through here. Unless Giniboli and Parker are near perfect in all the games, and Duncan becomes his old self, I think it'll be a Mavs/Clips West Finals.

EDIT:
I myself is pulling for the Clips. If Pheonix actually beats Clips, then i'll be rooting for the Suns, even though they beat my beloved Lakers. Suns have a lot of heart, and has excitement that's been absent in the NBA for years. And Amare's my 2nd fav player in NBA behind Kobe 🙂.

now w/ poll!

Clippers vs Mavs 😀

ya, that's probably the more probable matchup.

And for that matchup, it seems that Mavs will win, but who knows.

I think a Mavs Suns matchup will be very intersting as well though. Nash playing his former team, and the Suns are always pretty fun to watch. I want to watch more Amare though.

That kid is amazing.

It will be interesting to see if the rest is going to hurt the Mavs. In an interview today Avery said that it might, and he'd rather be in the Spurs position.

oh ya true. Quite a bit of teams get out of sync from too much rest. The Spurs really got their game back together in the final 2 games of that round.

Also, Avery saying that is pretty big, since he was a player w/ the spurs as well.

Well, I'm looking forward to these games. Clips vs. Suns will be a fun one to watch though.

anyways.. on another note:

i think a hallway series can happen multiple times since both clips and lakers are relatively young and upcoming teams.

I think NBA is in a good marketing position for the next couple of years.

Another thing, travel is not going to be a big deal with this series. It's a 1 hr flight.
