If you may remember, i had a problem with WD in that i RMAed a 200gig HDD that died on me with them, and after 2 months, still had not gotten my replacement. I called numerous times to bitch about not getting it, and last week i finnaly recieved it......however i just got back to school today, and there was another one waiting for me in the mailbox. (an extra 200gig IDE HDD).....do you think they meant to do this? It says "recertified" on the label, so i can only assume its an extra one they gave me for my troubles. If thats the case....anyone want a 200gig HDD for some $$$? :evil:
 
Go ahead and sell the extra drive. But in 3 months or so, be prepared to see a bill for the extra HD.

oh man! I guess I did 🙁 Been really busy here at school and was just hope for a week for the holiday. Hopefully once I get back in the swing of things this week I can poke my head in the server.....if I can find a mic! 😱

iunno i havent had a WD before...

ive only gotten maxtors for some reason. i dont know why. i have had to do 5 RMAs. WHY WHY WHY

oh wait, its cuz i pay $10 less from getting the seagate and i dont think ahead in life. ever.
 
If someone seriously does want it....im thinking in the 60 or so range...they go for 90 on newegg, and im a poor college student 🙁
 
hah 60 for recert? 89 dollars no rebate for 300gb 16mb cache at frys today, and even less with rebates in the past few days. the seagates had 5 year warrantees. recert has what? 1? 90 days? just keep it, its good as worthless for selling.
 
this happened to me with plextor a long time ago.. got a 4x scsi plextor drive (woot, it was the sh!t back in the day... let me tell you.. sold it for $260).. anyway they never sent me a bill for it to this day.
