Be forewarned, this rebate comes from Young America, that means you shouldnt expect your money (if you get it at all) for at least 3 months

Very hot if you could get a price match to the price after rebates. Circuit City did this type of PM for me about a month ago - they sell the same drive. Office Max also has the drive.

Richard: That surprises me, because Circuit City's site explicitly says they will NOT pricematch online merchants, only local retailers.

I think you got lucky.

Got me to thinking about how long it takes to get a rebate.

For the 30 or so I've tracked,
from date of purchase to rebate received
(rebates mailed within very few days of purchase):
30 day minimum
88 day average
191 day maximum

Sheesh, FreebieBoy, 3 months hits the nail on the head!

Young America sends out rebates faster and more accurately than any of the other 20+ rebate companies I've dealt with. Got my TDK rebates in less than a month. Must have been the manufacturer you were dealing with.
