subtract rebate -60.00
subtract 30off150 coupon -30.00

final price 48.84

but it gets hotter for me. I had a gift card from a year back when i purchased a fax machine that was for $20 that was gonna expire soon, so i used it. so for me it was 28.48 🙂 but for <$50.00 this is hot. Enjoy

I got one snail mail about two weeks ago. I think it's $30/$150 online & second coupon for $10/$50 B&M

i just found something online that indicated a $30 off $150 competitors coupon. The competitor is Office Depot. Took in the printed paper and they gladly took it. I said all i do when i go to office depot is tell them the coupon code. They enter it in their system and it deducts it right then and there. The store manager looked at my paper and then took a code out from her binder and deducted the 30 off 150. no complains or anything. Good luck all

this drive has a 1 year warranty. additional 2 years costs $49.99,

seagate gives a five year warranty and has deal as good or better than this. do a search here or at fw

if you're talking permanent storage, dvd wins no matter what. hd = risky, you may as well lose everything when it crashes. so even 60gb to 120gb is more then enough for our needs. who needs high capacity HD,it serves only to screw you royally when it f**ksup I mean royally.

I have so much storage with dvd's that I need not anymore hd!!!

You sir have a very nice day 😀

Thank you for your kind wishes.

I must confess that:
1. I am insufficiently organized to keep track of DVDs
2. My most recent activity has been Ghosting the HD's on the family's computers, way too big for single DVD's

But your point is well taken that every HD will eventually bite the dust...hence the compulsive Ghosting.

Maybe RAID0 is a better answer. At two bits a gig, at least its not going to bankrupt me.
:wine:

why are you thread crapping WCHOU. I just saw a post you made. a 250GB WD drive for aroun $98, and on top of that its a factory recertified drive.

WCHOU post

So paying 50 dollars more for 50GB more is hot???

If you are simply creating a backup (not an archive), a HD is a much better solution. For archiving, DVDs are a bit better, as you are spreading out data over multiple pieces of media (which means failures are less catastrophic, unless you did a ghost span). However, never fall into the assumption that archiving via burned media is foolproof. Media quality varies greatly, and longetivity also varies greatly depending on where the media is stored. Disks can easily go bad in a couple of years if they are made cheaply.

hahaha i hadnt fully looked at WCHOUs link but if you look at it it will make you laugh. Well it made me laugh. Check it out

These are all options but they charge you up the A$$
they charge you 9.99 to format it
they charge you for screws
they charge you 6.99 for 3 months extended warranty
they charge you 9.99 for 6 months extended warranty.

Once again these are options and you don't have to get them but isn't it ridiculous. On top of that this drive only has 2mb cache.
