hi,
I just got a the western digital 100gb HD and I'm wondering if there is something wrong with the drive. I have already paritioned the drive out the way I wanted and I left about 5gigs at the end of the drive for linux just to mess with. I noticed during the installation of linux and after(when using linux) the HD clicks in the last 5gigs or so space. It sounds like it writes/reads the drive for a few seconds then it clicks and then goes on writting/readding. AND this ONLY happens with the last 5gigs or so.
So, I ran the diagnostics utility and did an extended check/scan and it came out with no errors but I did hear the clicks at the end of the scan. I'm wondering if this is normal for this HD.
