I just downloaded the WD diagnostic tool (bootable CD iso) and burned it and it didn't recognize my V Raptor - HAHA WTF!?

I need to write 00000000 to my drive/secure erase in order to sell it.

What next?

Funny. I recently had a 'cable error' test failure using the Windows version of WD Diag, but the the bootable ISO version worked fine. During bootup does your BIOS detect the drive? Have you also tried swapping the IDE/ACHI mode? Otherwise try using the Windows version of WD Diag.

Figured. The bootable ISO of WD DLG is an old DOS version, 5.04f IIRC. I doubt that it has been updated to recognize the new VRs, although you would think that the detection would go off the MFG, not just the model numbers.

I've had other problems with the bootable ISO. On a couple of machines, it doesn't want to boot. On one machine, it just hangs, and on the other, it says that it cannot open the license file.
