Yes, if you mean the West Coast Trail on Vancouver Island.

First time the experience was great and it took abit of work out of me becaus I was 15 year old at the time. I meet a few hikers along the way that we share a campsite & a few stories. The trails at time was wet, muddy and had lots of over grown.

Second time the experience was very good and there were more hikers than the first. I met a few Germans & French hikers along the way and the trails was partially finished.

Last time was about 6-7 years ago and the trails were highly finish with planks & wood chipped and I met many tourist on the way, however it didn?t get any busier than the second trip because trail traffics is controlled.

Every trip was different because there are too many things to see that I may have missed or over looked from the previous time. It has to be the best hiking trail that I have been on that is close to civilization, but the National Park on the border of BC/Alberta is by far much better for nature & animal gazing.

If you mean the very rugged Pacific Crest Trail, yes I've hiked several parts of it in the High Sierra mountains, California.

If that's the trail you're thinking of, post your tentative thoughts on what portion of it you'd hike (it runs from Canada through Washington, Oregon & California to Mexico) and Ill comment if I have experience near your location of interest.

There's a good little book with a bear on the cover by a guy who hiked the Appalachian Trail, but I don't remember its title. Anaway, it pretty much tells a similar story as for the Pacific Crest Trail.
