Werid Video Abnormailty In Playback

A couple days ago I switched over from using a dvi-to-vga adapter on the dvi port of my video card to just using the dvi cable. I didn't notice a picture quality difference after all.

But starting last night, I am getting weird lines in video playback. Especially in full screen.
Last night I was messing around with it trying to fix the problem. About 4/5 the way down the screen, there would be a line about 10 pixels high that would flicker whenever something would move fast on the screen. (action etc).

I thought maybe it was the "input" I selected on my monitor's menu screen. So I tried whatever the other one was, can't remember right now. It's hard to tell what is exactly selected. Turns out I selected the WRONG thing and I no longer had any single. I tried rebooting into safe mode and I reinstall the driver, plugged in the cord back in just to be sure, and everything seemed fine. But later last night, the same thing happened. But this time is was on the line appear about 1/5 the way down.

I had this monitor/video card for about 3 weeks with no problems on VGA. So I'll be going back to that tonight after I get home.

However, does anyone have any ideas on this issue?

Maybe the DVI cable is bad?
As for your monitor losing signal, you probably just selected Analog instead of Digital. Pressing the toggle button again will bring back the display.
