we've been gaining on them consistently for awhile. the moment when we finally pass them is finally approaching, though... 1 or 2 more days.

btw, my ultra sparc 300 is cracking much faster than my 533 at home...
 
The sparcs have have a better FPU than the chip you hvae at home but d.net uses only the integer portion of the chip which is not as good.

If you really want to put that chip to good use, switch it over to the anandtech seti@home team. They crunch seti wu very damn fast.

actually, sparcs suck with the new 3.0 version of seti. there's a thread about it in this forum that covers it. as much as i'd like to see every computer in the world running seti, i just thought i'd let you know.
