I saw some were on the forum were there was a site that had older games and new games for good prices. I cant remember the name so was just looking for sites that I may have missed.

also never forget the good old ebay.

Just remember that a lot of games won't work the same if they are used. Many game makers make you pay to get online access and such if you buy used.

that sounds like GoG. by older games, it means rather old, classic games for cheap. completely DRM free, they have some current games, too (Witcher 2).

GoG, Greenman gaming, D2D are all pretty good. I usually only buy from the latter when it is a really good deal and if the game can be registered through steam.

This; based on OP's description I'm inclined to think Gog would be the one.

Green Man Gaming has started screwing people over - I would wait for the dust to settle before considering shopping there again.

They did this whole big promotion lead-in to finally selling EA, then EA games were on sale for less than a day before they got pulled. Presumably it's a licensing issue, but they've deleted all their facebook posts about it, deleted their blog posts about it, deleted comments on their blog, closed the forum and refuse to answer questions about it.

I get that their hands are tied (though they did screw over a lot of people who cancelled their BF3 pre orders), but they need to communicate. The lack of communication in circumstances like this is what causes complete frustration. Apparently they had some kind of similar screw-up with Dead Island too, but not 100% sure on this.

Gogamer was the site I was thinking about. I bought Dragaon age off of direct to drive when it came out and when I had a problem with the hard drive, it was on I couldn't download it agan.
I like steam but have found out that it seems hard to add the mods for some games from steam, Dragon Age was the game that comes to mind. They didn't have the folder to install the mods in like it did when i got it from D2D

For older games, though, it's usually fine.

I always check out Amazon before I buy too.

I bought Fable III from GFWL Marketplace a month ago. It was on sale for $12.49. Its actually been pretty fun for me (first Fable game so I have no preconceived notions). Ordinarily I wouldn't recommend GFWL, but that was a decent deal.

Newer PC games may be missing bits, especially from EA -- for example the base Dragon Age: Origins game includes a 1-time code for the Stone Prisoner DLC that gives you Shale as a party member. Buy used, this costs $15!. Mass Effect 2 had a similar party member code.

Impulse = Gamestop nowadays.

I stopped buying from Impulse since Gamestop bought it.

The two places I buy from other than Steam are D2D and GoG. I highly recommend both.

extra DLC is a lot different than getting online access for MP games. That's only consoles as far as I know.

You can still play the game as it was released without the DLC.

I forgot to mention Steam-linked games like Fallout New Vegas. A used copy of that might be worthless unless it includes the person's Steam account.

D2D should let you re-download forever.

They should buy they wouldnt let me download it again. It was a at the same time it was first offered so it may have been I would of needed to pay more for to redownload it again.
Cant rember for sure why.

I am having a problem with the serial # for Batman Arkham Asylum GOTY Edition I got from steam a long time ago too.
I will try it tommarow again
