Were the theaters too crowded for "The Matrix"?

Just came back from a 9:05pm showing ... theatre about 95% full... not jam packed as I thought for its first Saturday night... they did have showings almost every half hours... LI, NY - Broadway Mall.

P.S... movie was overkill... IMO. Dialogues were entirely too long and the fight scenes were overdone. Just because you can... doesn't always mean you have to.
