I've been to some of those message boards. Their post count is *greatly* inflated by the 13 year olds who routinely post simple replies such as:

1.) hehe🙂

2.) :roll:

3.) dunno

4.) wow :heart:

5.) me 2

You can't compare them to more mature boards which have longer posts which require actual thought. I think a more accurate rating would be based on unique characters typed.

Yeah. If you think the people on here are bad, you should check out those role playing sites. Talk about a bunch of losers who never leave the house. They're role playing for a reason.
 
I saw that considering the number of members, Anandtech is very well situated (or not, depends how you look at it) - the members are very active compared to boards in the top ten
