What are the pros to this system?

We're going to be paying at least $100.00 a month for digital cable and our RR.

How much do you pay and do you like it?

How's the PVR does anyone have this box already? I plan to tape stupid shows that I normally don't get to watch. Sport shows, basket ball games, etc etc.

DVR is money, we already have 1 box and are getting two more for no extra charge!! I've heard that the hard drives crash alot, but you can always get another box!

Yeah well I'm not paying for it myself. My girlfriend, her mother, and I are all chipping in to pay for the cable service.

I pay about $128 for my TWC and RR in NYC, but with no PVR. Where/when is the PVR available and did you have to signup or is it some sort of limited testing?

I have the PVR for TW in Austin and I think it sucks. Mine has problems recording video - playback can be really bad - choppy, pausing, distorted. Also, if I record video while I am watching (for example, rewinding a live program and playing it) I get pauses, skips, and video corruption. Also, the IR reciever and/or internal processor is excruciatingly slow to change channels and bring up graphics - it sucks for channel surfers like me (as opposed to people who just use the program guide and go straight to the channel they want to watch). This thing is a total piece of crap. Almost as bad as the error prone video on demand services TW offers. Only saving grace is that there's no large hardware fee like in tivo and the monthly fee is fairly low.
