We're all, really really screwed.

We had a nice discusion about this today in Economics class.


Are the terrorists attacks really over? I mean, how easy can it be to take out a stadium full of people watching this weeks football game.

And how will we get the guys running up the mountains? I mean, if foot soliders step out there, won't they get sniped pretty easily? Are we every trained for that kind of terrian?

The only way to kill them all is with nukes. Don't you think a couple guys in Washington have been waiting to launch a nuke or two during the cold war, you know, itchy trigger fingers?



Not that i agree or disagree with any of these statements, im just throwing up questions.

Considering that there are terrorists living in almost all parts of the world(Including the USA), that would take a lot of nukes.

Our Army is trained for every conceivable type of terrain.

We don't need to "kill them all." We only need to kill the primary leaders and supporters, then completely cut off all funding and support to these terrorist cells.

They kill thousands of people and we dont do anything to them. If they are not stopped more crap will come from them. The only way to get PEACE is to destroy the people disturbing the PEACE.

Remember this, we've got military installations in just about every part of the country. We've got the 10th Mountain Division who do training in that type of terrain and several bases in Alaska where the training gets pretty rigorous. We haven't exactly been sitting on our asses since the Gulf War and Vietnam. Vietnam was a failed war due in part to the fact that our boys hadn't had a lot of jungle warfare training. That is not the case today. Our soldiers are better trained than in past conflicts.
