Im having some problems connecting to the internet. My network background:
Computer 1(host)
pIII
win 98 SE
Computer 2(client)
p4
win xp
The host computer is hooked up the my version 1 netgear (MR814) 802.11B router. My 2nd computer has a (ME101) 802.11B USB adapter. I have latest firmware & drivers for both.
WEP disabled, both computers have access to the web.
Ive added the mac address to the "wireless card access list" in my router'settings. I choose "share key" under authentication type. 64 bit encription I have access on the host computer, but my 2nd computer cannot browse, but I see the ssid in the availble network box. 128 bit, host is fine, 2nd comp cannot connect and cannot see any availble ssids
I match up the keys, but no connection. Ive looked @ netgears website for support & varias XP "help" topics with no progress. Any help would be greatly appreciated. TIA
