WEP and Mac filtering redundant?

I am considering turning off 128bit WEP on my wireless network (located in a apartment building) because I think it might reduce latency in online gaming. Is mac addy filtering enough?

i have a linksys wcg200 (802.11g).

also any general advice on how to speed up my wireless network? without compromising security at least. im quite happy with my 54mbits a second, and was never drawn by 108mb wireless "speedboosts". this pc has linksys wireless pci adapter in it.

thanks

Use every thing but WEP.

Pay close attention if you get Leecher, might work for you as long as you are Not Risking Legally Privileged Information. (like if you are a Doc and you have patient files shared on the Network).
