when i braught my cpu last year, it was fastest on da bloke ( performance wise it could keep up with a 2ghz willamette )
now i want to upgrade, simplyt cause it is nioce to be fast. the comnputer will play anything i can throw at it. i mean gta 3 up full @ 16*12*32 has got to rock. the xp 2000+ soiunds nice, but would i notice much diff over my t-bird 1.4c?

I'm no expert, but honestly at those resolutions and color depth, you are really limmited by your vidcard, wierd saying that a gf3 is limiting factor huh?
Might see a slight improvement but don't expect much.

If you also want general performance, not just games, you will see some improvement over anything that uses sse2, such as video and graphical editing, encoding, but not much anywhere else such as word, internet exploring, checking e-mail, and defragmenting your HD.

BTW, did you mean worth rather than weorht on your topic? At first I thought this post was gonna be in German.

Final advice is if you have a craving for upgrading, and have the money, just save the money every crave. Then once a large enough gap between your current hardware and the new hardware opens, spend your saved money, and you can afford the best. I think i saved about 6 months to get my axp 1700+ over my previus duron 600. (Im really poor) Hehe.
