Went to the shooting range today

I've only shot a pistol once in my life, and that was a few years back... i've been hunting with rifles and shotguns in the past. here is my target sheet for the day. the small holes up top are from a Ruger 22 that my girlfriend shot....the larger holes are a Glock 9mm.
I can't wait to go again. I was at 15yards, so not entirely impressive, but for my first time, i'm pleased.

I think you did pretty good. Shooting accurately with a pistol is a lot harder than it looks! I own a Taurus .45 and I wish i was a much better shot than I am. Oh and congrats on taking your girl. Mine was scared of guns due to movies so I changed that real quick. I'm a big believer in gun education

Definitely looks good for your first time! I know my target sheet was nothing like that the first time I shot a couple of 9mms (probably from about the same distance). I did better with the .22 pistol. Last up was an AR-15 with red dot... damn was that 100x easier to shoot then the 9mm pistols! Since that one time I've went, I've been more interested in guns, but I haven't had any money to buy a pistol and/or rifle, and I don't believe the range I went to had rent for a day or anything like that. So I plan to pick up a 9mm pistol and possibly build my own AR-15 when I start working and get some money in the spring.

I remember my first time.

First handgun I ever shot was a snub nose S&W .38 special revolver. I did pretty good with it too. I also shot an H&K P7 which was quite easy to shoot accurately. I don't care much for the latest H&K handguns though.
