This was a great show! Metallica sounded excellent, the pyrotechnics were great, and the crowd was lively, but not too rowdy. Kid Rock put on a good show too, he even discussed cunninlingus with the crowd!:Q Korn wasn't too shabby either, but I'm not a big fan of them. We missed System of a down and Powerman5000, we were busy tailgating in the parking lot, hehe. Overall, the Summer Sanitarium looks like it's going to be a great tour.

btw- Chooie, how'd you like it??

MetallicA rocked, best show by them that I've ever seen. Don't know if you stuck around for all of the encores, but I haven't ever seen them show so much appreciation for the fans(they always show some, the expressions on their faces though, as if they expected something else??). Kicked @ss.

Kind of disappointed there was pretty much no pit for Metallica, the show did seem a bit "incomplete" without it(I heard Kirk start into Seek&Destroy and was dumbfounded that no bodies were flying), and the pits for Korn and Kid Rock were quite weak. I unfortunately was unable to join any of them as my wife was with me and I wasn't going to bring her onto the field in case it got out of hand(been involved with a couple of those).

Like you, I missed System of a Down, Powerman5K, and Tree along with any others that were playing earlier in the day(heard mention of it several times on AAF but never heard a band list). Very impressive light/pyrotechnic show particularly for MetallicA who tends to avoid the rather dramatic fashion used(One- WTF!:Q:D).

Anyone who is a fan of metal, and in particular MetallicA I would highly reccomend you check out the tour if it is coming your way(it isn't going to many cities). What was your favorite part of the concert Sacotool? And where are you Chooie? Did you make it out OK??

We were up in the bleachers so I was looking down at the field and there really wasn't much moshing going on. The only downside was that the audience was singing along with every song, word for word, and it was drowning out Hetfields voice a bit.

Heya Dan :) Man, I am sooooo wiped... after a 12 hour concert day, I slept for 5 hours and then had a 24 hour LAN party... never again :p The show was great, but Mars Music screwed us over. They told us we were getting backstage passes, but all we did was get invited to a "hospitality tent", while the *real* VIP's hung out with the bands... wtf? Some of the guys that were with us are planning on bringing this to light in court... man, what some people won't do to get back at the people who fsck them... kudos to them :) Anyway, I'm glad to hear you liked it. I got my tour shirt signed by the bassist from SOAD and (one of) the guitarists from PM5K.

Ben - I felt my eyebrows melting during the intro to One... man, I love good pyro! :D

Foxboro, Massachusetts. There were over 70,000 people there (in my estimation, b/c foxboro stadium holds ~61k for football games, plus the field.)
