So I went to Ground Round for the first time yesterday. While waiting to be seated, I noticed a similar trait amongst the majority of the people there - it seems like at least one person in each family, and in most cases 2 or 3 or even all of them were at least 50 pounds, in some cases 75 or more pounds overweight. Looking at the menu there (fried cheesecake for dessert?!) it doesn't surprise me.

No wonder there's such a weight epidemic. All the fatties are eating here!

At the same point it became ok/cool to worry more about other peoples appearance and weight rather than mind ones business.

Yeah I was close to ordering the ribs/steak/chicken heart-attack combo, but opted for grilled chicken and penne. It's wild that even the grilled meals have a ton of cheese on 'em.

It did taste good tho... :D

LOL. We had Cracker Barrel on the way up to Rhode Island. (I had never been there either!) That wasn't too bad. I had chicken and rice, and my GF had a salad. Normal sized ppl there for the most part, tho' I can't stand their payment system. Stood in line for like 8 min. even though I wanted to just leave the money on the table and leave.

Looooong time ago. It was a sign that you were well off if you could afford enough to be fat.
