Went to a Fuel concert last night...

I gotta say... I wasn't much of a fuel fan before last night, but holy jeebus, they were awesome!

They were playing at a small club here in town with a capacity of maybe 200 people. There wasn't a bad seat in the whole place.

Buying their newest CD tonight.

Anyone else Fuel fans?

PS: This was my first music concert EVER! I'm 26 and Yes, I've been deprived.

I saw Fuel back in 1999. They were good back then. (I was 13 at the time)

Does Brett Scallions even sing for them any more?

The only song I know from them is Shimmer (back from the 90s). Any other good songs?

Was the concert in Alaska? Is that where they're from?

Yes, they were in Fairbanks, Alaska for two shows. They aren't from here, only their new Lead singer Toryn Green.

As for their new singer, I think he sounds awesome. I'd say he sounds like Brett Scallions about 80% in their older songs. Their new songs is where he comes into his own.

I absolutely loved their first two big albums, my friends and I saw them at the State Theatre (now the Fillmore) in Detroit...we were probably 16 or 17 years old? Great show...that said, I haven't heard the new singer perform their old songs, so I wonder what he sounds like. I do have the new album though, maybe I'll give it a few more listens.
