Went to a drive-in movie theater for the first time last night...

So went to a drive-in movie theater last night, called bengies. They say they have the largest screen movie theater in the country-- eh who cares... We got there about 45min before the showing and it was so packed that we were at an angle to the screen, therefore the "largest movie theater in the world" didnt really help us there 😛.

Once you enter the park you must turn ALL your lights off, therefore you are driving in total darkness with hundreds of cars around you and people walking by. It wasnt to bad at first but then it got pretty scarry... We parked in the spot that we were told and of course it was right on the corner. So a couple cars decided to either pull into our lane or out of it and nearly clipped my car. I dont blame them, its pitch black outside.

Its 8 dollars for a ticket, and you can come watch all 3 movies in a row. They start from 8:30 and go until the last movie ends. They had garfield, pirates of the carribean, and scary movie 4. We came just to see the pirates of the carribean, and although it was an interesting experience, unless we get there early and have a beater car to go with, i dont think i will do it again.

Almost went to a drive-in one time, but it was closed 🙁. Why did they make you drive around with your lights off?

So you dont disturb the other people who are already there viewing the current movie. They play the movies in a row with about 15min break in between. And while you are driving around following the peoples brakelights in front of you ( There are some workers with these glowsticks who tell you where to park) you dont want to be shinning people in the face with your lights, and screwing up the picture. 🙂

😕
I went there with my GF to watch a movie. If we wanted to "nookie" we would have done it back at our apt in the comfort of our bed 🙂

That drive-in sounds pretty bad. The lights, close show times, big screen == more people == more cars. I'd pass.
