Went through hell and back

So at about 3:50pm yesterday, I noticed web pages weren't loading anymore..so I decided to just restart my comp. When I saw that they still weren't loading, I resetted my cable modem, resetted the router..and pretty much reconfigured my whole network around here.

Then I went ahead and asked my neighbors in our apt building if their internet was down too, and of course pretty much everyone's in the building was.

I thought it'd be a temporary thing, as it usually is resolved quickly..but I waited 10 minutes..10 minutes became an hour, became 5 hours, become 12..and finallly I went back to my computer, where I had AIM reconnect until it would connect..and saw my wonderful buddy list where it was supposed to be.

Ah, what a feeling it is to be back neffing and wasting time when I should be studying..

Yes. It was kind of like discussing things on the forums, only much different and weirder.

Did they say things like; LOL, REPOST, LMFAO and stuff?

Dial-up is your friend. In the rare times the cable modem does go down I have the cell phone hookup as a backup.

Dialup is no one's friend :|

Meh, you suck.

My broadband went down at 4:00pm last Friday, didn't come back up until Monday when we had a guy come out from the ISP. Had to use the laptop because it was the only system with 56K 🙁
