Went skateboarding for the first time in like 6 years today

I did that a couple years back, when I fell it hurt REALLY BAD.
Nothing like I remember how it was 15 years ago. 🙁

I think we all just pay more attention to pain as we get older😛

You need to get a long skateboard like I have. That thing rolls FOREVER and is soo much more fun.

Mean nose slide on a planter box though

Nice!

Just keep up with the gnarly backside rails to nose then throw in a nollie-flip while your at it.

I know what you mean. I saw some kids around my house one day. Took 20 bucks from them saying "hey - bet you 20 bucks I can do a fakie kick flip"

A couple of years ago, I came back briefly after 4 years away from the sport and it was weird, for sure. I felt older, slower, and more easily tired. I was with my little cousin trying to show him the ropes, and somehow I still managed to catch some varial kickflips damn near waist high. I surprised myself, and almost fell because of how shocked I was. I never have time anymore, but if I did, I'd probably want to pick it back up....

I haven't done it for a few years now either. If i tried it again, I'd be completely pathetic. I reckon I could still ollie pretty high, but even rolling along would feel weeeeird. Balance would be gone too, I found that got so much better while i was boarding.
